Baby Chick Designs, Art for Little Ones is the labor of love of artist, Harriet Babchick and her daughter, Debbie Weinstein, who discovered that decorating children's bedrooms with tasteful, timeless art is not an easy task. The idea of Baby Chick Designs started when the artist decided to make some watercolors for her granddaughter's new bedroom. After seeing the beautiful, fine art watercolors, she and her daughter Debbie decided that they must make them available to other families to enjoy!
Through the state-of-the-art technique of giclee printing, they were able to bring the artwork to the public in affordable prices, without sacrificing the quality of the final product. The result are timeless designs, made with the finest quality materials, that last in upwards of 100 years and rival the original. All artwork is signed by the artist. Harriet Babchick
Artist / Co-Owner of Baby Chick Designs
Interested in art from a young age, and after raising her children, Harriet decided to continue her education in the Arts. Harriet received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing/Painting in 1981, and her Master of Fine Arts degree in Drawing/Painting in 1986 from the University of Houston. She was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Houston, and then went on to teach at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts, the Art Institute of Houston, and The Art League of Houston. Harriet's work has been shown in several galleries and many exhibits through the years. She actively maintains an art studio working in oils, watercolor, and pastel. In addition to the collections available at Baby Chick Designs, her work consists of narrative paintings, still lives, and portraits.
Debbie Weinstein
Sales & Marketing / Co-Owner of Baby Chick Designs
Mother of two, wife, and daughter of the artist, Debbie has worked in various marketing roles her entire career. She has held managment positions in marketing communications and marketing research for large marketing research firms, as well as consumer packaged good companies. Taking care of the business side of the company has allowed her to work from home so she can devote more time to her family. Working along side her mother has been a pleasure and she is so happy to be a part of making her mother's designs available for other families to enjoy!
